A Message from OCMS

State Assessments All sixth, seventh, and eighth graders will participate in the math and reading assessments. Seventh grade will also take the science assessment. Seventh and eighth grade math will be given the week before spring break. The Science assessment will be administered the week after spring break. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade reading will be given the second week of April with sixth grade math at the same time. These assessments are very important to our school, however they are nothing to be stressed about. The teachers have prepared our students to be successful and there will be nothing on the assessments that wasn't taught. With regular attendance, good health, and attentive students, OCMS will exceed the No Child Left Behind requirements once again. Please contact your child's teacher if you have questions about the assessments your child will be taking.
